GRIEF PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Invisible Ink 4-Week Series: Thursdays, May 8-29, 2025 | 3:30-5:00 PM

For continued participation, attendance the first week is required. 4-week writing program for anyone needing help with expressing and processing their grief to find greater healing. Writing prompts are provided each week, in which participants write about specific feelings through letters to their loved one.

Yoga for Respite & Restoration: Wednesday, May 28, 2025 | 10:00-10:50AM

This 50-minute practice is designed for rest through mindful movements, breathing, and meditation. You can practice in a chair or on a mat. No experience is required.

Drum Circle: Thursday, June 5, 2025 | 1:00-2:00 PM

In this community drum circle, you will experience rhythm, music and community bonding. Immerse yourself in the beat, connect with friends and let the rhythm uplift your spirits. No experience necessary.

Wellness Coaching Cohort: Friday, June 6, 2025 | 10:00-11:30 AM

In this session, you will take a holistic approach to discover what areas of life you may be feeling depleted in. You will also create a wellness vision to help guide any goals to help replenish those areas of depletion. Each participant can choose to schedule 3 individual coaching sessions with the facilitator after the cohort, to be used within the quarter.

Remembering Dad: Saturday, June 7, 2025 | 10:30 AM- 2:00 PM

Half-day retreat for any adult who has experienced the loss of their father. This event will serve as a time to reflect, reminisce, and remember their father or fatherly figure. The day will include a variety of experiences and tools to help navigate Father’s Day. A light lunch will be served. Due to a limited capacity, RSVP is required to attend.

Death Cafe: Saturday, June 14, 2025 | 10:00-11:30 AM

Conversations around death and dying have long been a taboo subject. Join in on a group-led conversation around various topics of death and dying in a welcoming space to reflect. This international movement has a mission to have open conversations on death and dying to encourage making the most of our finite lives. This is a judgement-free, agenda free conversation.

Grief Hike: Blue Cast Springs Friday, June 20, 2025 | 10:00-11:30 AM

Movement in nature can help with processing emotions and bring a sense of calm. Space is limited to 10 participants.

A Parent's Grief: Saturday, June 28, 2025 | 10:30 AM-2:00 PM

A half-day retreat for any adult who has lost a child or grandchild. This will serve as a time to reflect and remember their child or grandchild through a memorial slideshow and activities to connect to their loved one. A light lunch will be served. Due to limited space, registration is required.

A full list of program offerings at The Peggy F. Murphy Community Grief Center. Open to any adult who has experienced a death-related loss, free of charge. Hospice involvement is not a requirement.

Death Café
This is not a grief support group, space to process grief, or educational seminar.
2nd Saturdays of every month.
10:00-11:30 a.m.

A group-directed discussion on death and dying over coffee or tea and baked goods. No agenda, objectives, or themes.

Grief Garden
in collaboration with Honey Plant
Coming October 2025
Cost: $10
Join us at Honey Plant to cultivate your own grief garden and tend to your grief. You’ll learn about caring for your houseplant and how to create your own grief scape around your potted plant. The $10 event fee covers the cost of your plant, the soil, and container. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tokens and figures to place on top of the soil around their plant for their “grief-scape”.
