Support the Hospice Home Campaign

In 2001, Stillwater Hospice opened the only freestanding hospice facility in northeast Indiana. Since then, Hospice Home has provided care and support for more than 10,000 individuals, ranging in age from 5 months to 103. Hospice Home’s impact on our community—on our patients, their families, friends and loved ones—has been immense.

If you’ve had a loved one cared for at Hospice Home, you have experienced the way the Stillwater Team truly cares for the entire family.

In 20 years, like any home, Hospice Home has experienced some wear and tear. We are currently raising funds to renovate and restore this community gem so we can continue to provide excellent care for generations to come.

To date, Stillwater Hospice has received over $1.2 million in support for this campaign which will allow us to update items such as the roof, flooring and renovate the nurses’ station.  Additionally, each patient room will receive new paint and updated furniture where needed.

We are continuing to raise additional funds toward phase 2 of this campaign.  This initiative will also include altering each patient room so that the window that is currently in place is then converted to a door where patients and family members can then go out onto a new wraparound patio to enjoy the peaceful and tranquil garden setting.

In order to complete this updated design and allow for our garden access design we are seeking an additional $200,000 from our supporters.

  • Renovate the Nurses Station
  • Acquire new patient room furniture
  • Finish the Patient Spa Room
  • Refresh the Quiet and Reflection Room
  • Create a Staff Respite Room
  • Replace windows, roof and flooring
  • Install an independent ventilation system in select patient rooms to better care for patients with a communicable diagnosis
  • Establish a fund for Hospice Home future capital needs
